Mouse Trap...not a game

Those four dreaded words..."Gotta get mouse traps."

"Gotta get mouse traps"
Hubby did say
My mouth contorted
In the worst sort of way
"Oh, no!" I shouted,
"Tell me, it can't be."
Then "it" ran across the room
And further scared me

"Ah...!Ah...!Ah!...Ah!
I shrieked hysterically
Then ran for the chair
Put my legs in the air
And waited for my heart
To not beat rapidly
Would I recover?
Or take my last breath now
I'm petrified of mices
And about to have a cow

Hubby set the mousetraps
And while we sat, one snapped
Then in the morning hours
Another bit death's trap
So two mices dare not
Run across no more
And my heart has calmed
Until one crosses the floor

my wife hates Mice also Lynn. Lucky we don't have any but the squirrels chase her to the door. One day she ran in the house screaming so I went to see what was going on.Surely enough there was this pesky little squirrel. He wouldn't leave the porch, I sprayed water on him, chased him with the broom and he still wouldn't leave.
finally after fighting with the little sucker, he ran out under the car and was peekint out at me. All my years I've never seen one that brave. cheers G

Very good, Lynn... I say between chuckles. Silly isn't: because we know they can't hurt us. I think it's the surprise, more than anything, that startles. ~~Bonnie Q

The dreaded mouse trap! Makes its appearance in cold weather, its sharp teeth bite, the mice depart! Thanks, Lynn.

o, no...i hates mices, too *cringe* nasty little critters

but can't stand to hear 'em sqealing when caught in a trap or worse yet, glue paper *crrriiiiiinnngge* THAT'S nasty, cruel and inhumane

put out poison pellets AWAY FROM PETS OR CHILDREN--that's what got rid of mine--the day i moved into my apartment, the hottest day of 2000, door open all day...a rat got in...not a nice, friendly little mice, a RAT *GASP GASP GASP* my landlady recommended the poison pellets, no odor, YAYYYYYYYYYYYYY the rat is gone! :)

adorable, but an "oh, no" type of poem--well written

i think getting rid of cows would be worse than mices LOL

(((HUGS))) and love,

karla. :)
