Retrieved from care
The mother sighs
Returns a stare

Old lady ranting
Prices too high
Her companion sings
‘Uh huh, oh yes, right’

Miss Perfect is seated
In pristine grace
With earplugs on
Head bobbing in place

We reach a stop
There’s shuffle and noise
Seats change faces
Some exit in joy

The poet sits
With sly observe
And scribbles abrupt
Short, vivid words

To portray this scene
Through prism-ed eye
These disjointed images
Subtly combined

As one in her mind
An inspiring scene
Of commuter life
And the Daily routine

She considers inside
What it all means
A car full of workers
In a country so green?

One thing for certain
They’re joined at the hip
By life’s daily grind
And this commuter trip.
