A Reminder From a Friend
I gave myself a gift...
it was many years ago..
I bought myself a Webster's New World Dictionary.
to keep close by my side.
For years I used it faithfully,
browsing the pages, each and every one,
so crisp and smooth they each did feel.
The smell of a new book...oh how it draws me,
Just as a moth to a flame.
Well, the story goes as this...
Years now have passed...
new homes, new faces, jobs, stories, and poems...
this list could go and go.
My precious gift, it still sits upon my desk.
However, a kind reminder I was given today,
it came from a new found-friend,
in a humerous kind of way.
I quickly smiled...as I made the connection.
After reviewing my words...
I made the tiny correction.
I Dusted the cover, opened the pages...
and reunited with my old flame.
For you see...
one can never be to cautious...
A lesson learned indeed.
For it is better to be cautious,
and spell correctly...even when not seen,
Than to make a typo..and boldly attach your name!

Amen to this. Too many skim over what they write, just to get it out there. There is certainly an enormous difference between Satin and Satan.
I enjoyed this tremendously ...
