Because of everyone's own values, they and they alone determine for themseves whether or not a war is proper. These are my basic thoughts on the issue. Respectfully, Rusty
It is the honorable person willing to stand in the breach, defending my ability to lead a somewhat normal life.
The true soldier wants peace but has sworn a covenant in defense of this country.
The key word: defense.
If I am laid upon by a hostile hand, that is assault. When I defend, that is a fight.
When set upon by an enemy, that is an attack. In my defense, I enter war.
The aggressor will not be my bedmate, and I will stand in defense
Be careful the circumstance, how you would spend a life.
Your words make sense of what it's all aboout when our leaders take us to foreign lands BEFORE our enemies harm us further. Your military service qualifies for your convictions, and I thank you for expr3essing them to us i your writng. - Bill

Thank you for this tribute poem to those that serve and have served. I am proud of those that have enlisted to serve our country.
Superbly told Rusty. I have similar thoughts in my poem. I'm proud of our military and all who fight to defend our rights. I don't judges anyone who thinks differently, but I do have the right to disagree with them. ET

Throughout the 230-year lineage of the American Soldier...
The Warrior Ethos is, "I will never leave a fallen comrade."
Veteran’s day is about saying, "I will never forget a fallen comrade."
According to the U.S. Census, prior to the War on Terrorism, there were twenty six million American veterans. Nearly thirty percent of those veterans are disabled.
Since Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom, a vast number of the 1.4 million people serving in the military today have deployed in support of the war on terrorism.
Whenever a Soldier falls in combat, it is the families who suffer most
So all those years, all those people,all the fallen comrads and the families left behind...A World of Effection!
