Some candy, some wine and you'll be fine!

VENUTIAN DELIGHT

Sometimes the best thing about Valentines Day, is the night!

A winged Cherub with a golden bow

Targets hollowed hearts of snow,

Elysian fields his seed will sew,

Whence he comes you’ll never know.

A Sexy someone happens by,

Subtle liaisons, the twinkling of an eye,

Fantasies fester deep in the night,

Love so illusive, harrowing plight,

Shoulders they shrug, the meek stand tall,

Armed to weather the beckon and call.

A chance encounter, your week at the knee,

Pheromones of alchemy, Pathogens breeze,

Tingling loins, head topsy turvy,

Vitamin C won’t heal this scurvy.

Emotions ferment forging links in a chain,

Tasking gone awry, focus now strained.

The interlude set, a feast with wine,

Taking care, no more pearls before swine,

Gentility & grace aggravate yearning,

A touch of the hand, gooseflesh now burning.

A doorstep kiss, evolution unfolds,

Chastity’s virtue about to explode,

You try to save face with school girl resistance,

His tongue does the tango with salesman persistence,

You can’t feel the ground, the door is unhinged,

Your back against stairs, he continues to binge,

A heave and a hoe brings finger to face,

This is your home now and you’ll set the pace!

The stage now set with wine by the fire,

Silk laden assets, seductive desire,

Procreative passion matured with skill,

The fetish of flesh; gods envy us still.

Scanning meridians, each touch now electric,

Sensuous wounds seeking oral antiseptic,

Then comes the most intimate decision,

To probe the depths of sacrum’s incision,

She squirms and scratches; talons of dander,

Carnivorous rapture; the goose gets a gander.

Hips at the high, he sets a new course,

Times the essence with delta’s G-force,

Aphrodite’s apocalypse, never so sweet,

Dionysus wails, far from discreet,

Misty eyes roll and muscles repent,

The dragon is slayed, chakra is spent,

A good gent is poised, locked at the hip,

For kisses are garnish, Cassandra’s catnip.

Happy Valentines J

Fabulously well-wrought, HJ, with a tantalising mix of literary high-taste, low-brow and a certain tongue in cheek...and everywhere else, by the sound of it! :)) Realist and romantic, lusty yet still a piquant hanker after "the real thing"... A very good summation of what's uppermost in everyone's mind on that Hot Date in our calendar year. And Cathedral Rock IS in Sedona, yeah... xx

A very well done tribute to a lover's day!
Good to read your work again.

Hey HJ, where have you been hiding? Welcome back buddy!
From Pheromones to tongues doing tango Venutian Delight has the taste of Olympus Elixir and that bottle of wine in dark alleys, a kaleidoscopic travel one does straddling on a horse made of words.
