Today I opened my eyes, and the fog slipped under my door.
I stared as it crept along the floor to my feet
and slid up my legs, covered my arms and caressed my face.
I inhaled, and it entered through my nose.
I held it captive as long as I dared.
When it begged to be released, I exhaled.
So it exited through my nose, spit me in the face,
and wet my arms.
Then it slid from the top of my legs to the bottom of my feet,
Rolled along the floor and fled under the door.
Then I closed my eyes and sighed a breath of relief.
I enjoy reading poems out of the ordinary.
Glad I stopped by.
