Poem Artwork

Out of the mist I come upon snow-capped mountains majesty

I stand still in the clearing awestruck seeing infinity so deep a mystery

Knowing my stature has shrunk I feel
humbled

Below me a lake, surrounded by forest
greenery

Thoughts about being in purified realms
prevail

With myself out of the way, I hear what
creation has to say

Gleaning lessons from celestial saints
in array

Cumulus wispy clouds appear like angels

Standing upon His holy mountain golden sun surrounds me

Astounded by reality transfusion takes place all  negativity is erased

Soon I'm under grace, quiet peace enters the face

Like a sponge I absorb each moment of need for souls refreshment

Becoming entirely transparent I arrive at utter contentment

While offering thanks and praise!

What a beautiful photo, ET, yet it stands in the shadow of the picture of your words. What can we do but give thanks and praise when we are faced with such beauty? Excellent!! Peace. Joyce

there's a mountain right behind our house..covered in pine trees..so when I turn toward the north I am embraced by the spirit of the mountain and when I turn south the spirit of the Sea also hold out its arms to me..twice blessed am I..I know just how you feel..isn't it a blessing beyond compare?

Love this piece...

I agree with Karla below completely, the words that took me especially were "with myself out of the way, I hear what Creation has to say...." "
This is a very refreshing start to my day Eileen !
Thank You

Those beautiful mountains remind me of the snow-capped peaks that we woke up to when we lived in Colorado. Breath taking.

Mountain and Forest Retreats are truly wondrous places to refresh one's soul and achieve contentment - and I think I need to head off and find one myself right now, Tiger Lily.

Sounds like a religious experience, actually. To tell the truth (sssh, I'll deny ever saying it) but I can understand AND say that I have been there, done that. Sssh. Don't spread it around, you hear?

Eileen,

Ohhhhhhhhhh...so beautiful, your mountain retreat. The entire poem is serenity in verse, however, the words that resonated within me were:

"....with myself out of the way, I hear what Creation has to say...."

Sublime! We all need to take that break.

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.
