Poem Artwork

Soon crocuses and daffodils
will spread their phallic shafts until
they're in full bloom and ready to
delight the humming bird who will
feed with tongue extended full
sipping the nectar getting  its fill
and when the humming bird is done
the bees will take their turn upon
the blooms that put out like whores
for all  critters to make a score
and so  with life imitating art
everything gets to sate its part
to assure  contented happy heart

A lovely picture to go along with a lovely write. How much we are waiting for all the crcuses, you can't imagine, even though it always gets us a little homesick...

I needed to see the Hummingbird and hear your words on this unusually frigid day in Alabama. Thanks, Eileen.

Excellent, E.T. I never tire of the viewpoints and the convoluted thinking and imagining of writers! This is beautiful!

I've gotta agree with Rage below completely Eileen, he always seems to have the most astute and observant answer !
Its all about perspectives, and you show your celestial wisdom in this cryptic write

This poem reflects a perspective from quite an unusual angle. But who is to say that the way in which we generally experience things is correct? This world is a battlefield between good and evil and things may not be like we have grown accustom to see them. I've always wondered about the reason for one species (including mankind) being forced to kill an other in order to live; it contradicts the perception of Love that I consider to be our source and destiny. When pondering these matters intensively, one arrives at strange places, containing strange information. Perhaps you have been to such a place before writing this poem. Take care,

Never heard it put quite like that, Tiger Lily. Fascinating; and I hope those whores keep putting out for all those critters! Love the pic, too.

Heidi Fleiss would love this write! She's opening up a new House after serving years in prison for the reigning title of Hollywood Madam. Only this time, she's doing it legally in Nevada. Perhaps she'll put out the neon crocus sign to attract the nectar! Great metaphorical write, Eileen! Spring's just around the corner, or should I say, standing on the corner?

Smoking the good stuff again, eh, Eileen? Just kidding. JUST KIDDING! Cute little play on words here about our fine feathered friend and all that nectar they are sucking up. Just call them Deep Throat. Yuk. Yuk.
