Poem Artwork

In the melange of melancholy thought I find
a garden of delight, and I go dancing in the
night on golden wings of starlight

From fruitful fountains I taste the wine of
springs  sweet treasures  upon the greeneth
grass I eat of earths full measure

Impatient now,  I test the powers of whimsy
and call upon a unicorn to be my guide, to
help find a goodly companion who will stay
by my side

In the thrill of a moment the horse appears
and I cast away any fears, jumping upon his
bareback I give the command, and away
we go to legendary lands~~heigh ho!~~

Alas, I have yet to find a love that's true
all the good princes want,  is to screw
I wrinkle my nose and cast them a dose
of what they deserve most, as I go merrily
on my way looking for more, than a good lay
;-)

Thank you for sharing "a lighter side" of you Eileen. Nicely done. Love and peace to you,

Damn, eT, when I saw the title, I was going to respond, "You know you've got the blues, there's leaves stuck to your shoes, don't forget your prozac....", but somehow that doesn't seem appropriate now!!!

Daring , confident and sassy and you know I/WE love sassy. The Prince is sort of my kind of Enigma too...either he has it or he just doesn't bother taking a number...I can help you sort them out Sis!
Love this one.

An adorable write, lighthearted and dreamy,I loved it.
Hope the damsel in the poem finds her prince,
I found only one (prince)but our happy ending is somewhat
askew.
This poem made me smile,a breath of fresh air, witty too.
Love to you and yours always
from
Kay.

I hope you find that unrealistic pipe dream you are looking for. To belittle the "good lay" is almost sanctimonious.

(heigh ho!~~)?, mething you are taking more libations than the recommended for medicinal purposes, melady.

Sigh, you got more than I have, Eileen. I get the looks but they don't dare come near. I must be intimidating, lol! Too much spirit, perhaps? Maybe a tranquilizer is what I need. Somewhere there's a steed who'll have met his match. Away! Enjoyed...

Oh goodness me Eileen!

I kept having visions of The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis as I read. I loved it!

Gotta watch out for those good princes, never know what's lurking in the golden folds of their gossamer! (-:
