I'm under the weather with the weather we're having, so bear with me please;-)

An angry cloud burst its shroud
and threatened to flood the earth
The rain shouted hard and loud
pelting the ground with its birth

Obscure sun thought to have some fun
darting in and out of the clouds
Wind  howled picking up its pace
blustering along acting proud

Temperature decided it would drop
making  the  rain turn  to snow
It intended to take part in the game
 so it  put on a wintry show

Until the heavenly weatherman  appeared
striking the earth with lightning
all the other elements scattered with fear
the atmosphere became frightening

Then the word came from Mother Earth
beseeching the big boss of the skies
"Your buddies are trying to destroy my girth"
"Please keep them from reducing my size"

"Don't fret Mother Earth you're still my thrill
soon  the entire planet will know"
Everything then became silent and still
a unique sky appeared in colors of a rainbow
