Poem Artwork

The soft swells rose and fell
in harmony with the breath
of life that could tell all the
secrets hidden beneath the
folds of happiness that dwell
within the warmth of seedlings
womb of wishes where many dreams
become reality as the gentle works
of wonder crawl under the areas of
joyous pleasure as thoughts without
measure keep pace with the beat of
the pulse that makes haste to create
molecules of memory that confine the
mystery of love unspoken among the
moist membranes of motherly magma

until the hummingbird meets the flower

Mother earth, from her are birthed and nourished all creatures great and small. Only when we permit our perception of the earth to be, that of an inert, inanimate object. Do we lose site of the wonders stirring and birthed below the surface. Humming birds. Fragile, beautiful and fascinating. Great poem. Great photo. Great poet. Thank you for shring your talents with us. Jon Michael Willey

Agree with Randall B: those two images strike an amazing chord within this poem, and within me, too! De-lightful, Eileen!

M-m-m-m.... I love your use of alliteration in this poem that draws the reader through to the end, which is so different from the poem, yet so... perfect.
