twilight was bringing the day to
an ephemeral end, in subtle blues
and golden hues, i delighted in
the birds getting ready to nest
their chattering of last minute
gossip, as they went to their trees
whose leaves were just beginning to
shout for their last breath before
they fell to their death, in colors
so glorious,it makes autumn notorious
which is why i love to welcome Fall
and give my all to this favorite season

Fall is such a lovely time of year isn't it? Not too hot, not too cool, clean and fresh air all about...gorgeous colors and often the feeling of something new around the bend... great write. lindalaw
Agree with you about loving Fall, Eileen...and love your beautifully descriptive poetic verse, too!! Even with 90 deg weather still here, I feel the onset of cooler weather, and appreciative! :o)

I love that first line with the word ephemeral. It is good to use unusual words in poetry sometimes, makes us think more. You did a great job describing your Autumn season today.
