Standing among the colorful trees
in all their autumnal glory
thinking how blessed we writers are
to be able to tell their story
I thought of all my poet friends at AD
and how each share a unique view
telling of the fall season in all its beauty
each with a poetic gem to offer you
As I delight in this uplifting fall day
I'm thrilled with the analogies I find
among what my poet friends have to say
their poems always inspire my mind
With Autumns beauty they are combined
because this is my favorite time of year
their comments on my poetry are divine
in my heart they are held most dear

Autumn is certainly the season for celebrating mutual diversity, abundance and growth. You have returned to us more than we could ever give to you. Cold winds have sent my impatiens to sleep until I plant them anew in the spring. My Dahlias are still blooming as if it was summer but soon I will have to cut them back also. Roses still continue to bloom but they also will now be cut back before winter wind freezes their lovely blossoms.
