The Rain keeps Falling

Poem Artwork

The rain keeps falling
Water continues to rise
Our nature's calling
From it's faded skies

Been raining all morning
The banks have eroded
Floods are a warning
Mother is over loaded

Sand bags are packed high
Rain still falls from the sky
The pumps are on full blast
Wonder how long will it last

The sun pops out from behind a cloud
Cheers and smiles came from the crowd
They all kneel and pray
Oh happy day oh happy day

Hee hee, don't I know it: been raining for days. Perhaps a break in sight: I hope so! Feet are mildewed...well done! Wish we could send it where it's desperately needed......

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.

Indeed! Rain is nourishment from Mother Earth. There are times when the earth gets over fed and times when she withdraws. All in all...who knows best for us? Great poem. One of my favorites of yours.

Susan
