I’m not afraid
Drown me with your love
Hold me and kiss me exclusively
Go under with me completely
Make me learn how to swim
Show me how you do your backstroke
I’ll show you how I do mine
Teach me how to swim and I promise
These lessons will be worth your time
Show me how to dive into your
Puddle of love – locking lips and
Splashing heart-shaped figures
As we twist and turn into hurricane rivers
I’m not afraid
I know you’re in control
Inviting, passionate and provocative.
It's skinny-dipping time, for sure.
Of course, what's being talked about is not love but making love.
And I'm reminded that one-night stands usually fall (though it may take a fortnight or so to bottom out).
Still, who can feel the power of love sans making love? If you can figure out how to own that in a fulfilling way, you can keep it to yourself. I'll take the whole package, thank you.

P.S.
Did I tell you that after reading your poem Drowning I'm putting in a diving board? (Okay, so I don't have a swimming pool. I'm sure my softly lighted bedroom will suffice. Be spontaneous!)
