The New Year stretches
Before me;
Ripe and glistening
With promise
It beckons,
Yet...
I am so fearful!
Feeling as if
I am treading
On thin ice
I cling one-handed
To the past
While reaching hesitantly
For the future;
But Time
Will not wait
While I muster
My nerve.
It demands
Acquiescence
Or else
I will continue
To fester
From the want
Within.
So, I must reach deep,
Gathering together
All the courage
And faith
I possess
To leap blindly
Into the waiting,
Vibrant,
Void.
fear again is a small emotion, you let it grow by feeding it...
Why do you wish to do this? So many must learn to overcome
fear.. An old example I like to use is: A nice worn out pair
of comfortable jeans are hard to get rid of... they feel good
on you but after a bit they become tattered and no longer
serve their purpose... There comes a time you must replace them...
This is the same with fear, fear must be discarded and replaced
with courage... we all suffer disappointment in our life...
but you can make good use of disappointment and take in
knowledge instead... if you choose to hang onto fear it
basically means "YOU" like living in fear "YOU" do not choose
to be happy... think about this
