In a quaint little home on the Left Bank,
Educated ladies gathered for tea.
Enticed by gossip they heard on TV,
They waited to hear if the news was a prank.
While sipping their tea, the voice said some Yank
Demanded amorous attentions of a young miss.
But there was no ardor nor a returned kiss;
She told him pointedly his intentions stank.
The reporter went on to say this was nothing new,
Same old plot used so many, many times.
All the tea drinkers sat there aghast,
Putting their cups down loudly and shaken through.
One coughed, then whispered she’d seen the slime,
‘cause he had tried the same on her in the past.
