You hear that little "ding"
Broad scoped, open vista

Only to be smacked in the head
T o see the 'turn' was wrong

Then..that 'other' realized
Eyes open to the truth
You kick yourself in the behind
For wasting all your youth

So, the road has taken different turns
Not ones that you expect
You channel all your energies
To keep your course direct

And then, there'll be that moment
Where everything is clear
And just before you grasp it
You hit a (blinkin') deer

*life would be boring without its ups and downs. life, itself, is amazing...i'm grateful most every morning i can get out of bed and feel the floor beneath my feet. (it ain't hot,) so i reckon i'm still ok!......love... k
