I want to be a Diva
I want the grand acclaim
To be a voice most recognised
For All to know my name
Whether whispers on the radio
Or singing on the stage
I want to be a Diva
With my name on the front page
I'd like to have a following
Of sweet, adoring fans
Who'll rush to get my autograph
Before the 'also rans'
I want to be a shining star
I hope that then I'd see
A modicum of value
I don't percieve in me
But, I want to be a Diva
That's true enough, I'd say
Performing on the stage of life
Then share it, day to day
And if I were a Diva
With my name on the marquee
Perhaps you'd even recognise
A bit of you...In me
uh huh...'on the cover of the rolling stone!' ..aml..k
