IT MATTERS NOT THE SPECIES...LONELINESS COUPLED WITH COLD CAN BE...MOURNFUL. THANKS FOR SHARING, LABELLE. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...JOYCE * HIS INSPIRATIONS
La Belle, your gentle poem's words...in a literal sense...coincide with the Northern Hemisphere's cold-rainy-winter day...and a white dove...the promise of hope..elicits a light of brighter days ahead...coming with a Spring....but...it seems to me...is used here as a metaphor for a "mournful time"...and appearance of...a soul's return to celestial realm...somebody close to you..."Missus I'm sister to you"...
Heavenly visitation...indeed....
God Blessings!

Snowflakes blend the coo, coo, coo. Mournful Ms. Dove
is calling to Spring. Lovely penned of white plumbs ever
so softly the scene unfolds.
Certainly a soul-stirring write, Belle; most apt and timely where it is cold and still snowy. Here, the daffodils are blooming and many trees as well. No winter for two years now; not "normal." Thank you for sharing. Love and best wishes to you,
I think about all the animals, birds, etc. who are left to make their way as best they can during these horrible winters we have been having for the last few winters.
Humanity imitating nature, beautiful and melancholy. Spectacular is the fury and color of winter's grip upon the landscape and the human psyche. The winter brings many challenges in many forms to all. Sad and I can hear the forlorn cooing of the dove Belle. We are all kindred folk to the dove in winter. Beautifully crafted rendering. This one bleeds of loneliness, but teardrops will end with the arrival of spring and his homecoming.
