Fiction.
why write? no one pays attention to the things i say. they say writing helps. then why do i feel pain? why dream? dreams are wishes that don't come true anyway. i've seen my dreams shattered again and again. why pray? there are no miracles with my name on them. God isn't listening to me anyway. why live? i feel useless, lonely, abused and condemned. no one needs me to darken their life today. (The emotion is depression.) This is a very powerful and well done poem; you have captured the sheer helplessness one feels when they are depressed. The sadness and despair come through very strongly in this poem; you make the reader feel your pain! BRAVA!
