Oh I can totally relate to thunder sounding like a funeral dirge sometimes. That was a great image!

And this is a very mysterious write. I can only see the image of the Dead Man Walking as being the end of the heat after the cool showers begin.

Powerfully chilling, Karla - and I wonder as we near the one year anniversary of Katrina, if that might be how some of its terrified victims felt.
