Don't know WHERE this came from, and so, I write ...

Poetry there with the dying of
day, the silvered crescent that wounded
it in its sleep winking secrets to
be kept hidden under the covers -

The moon put me to bed with a kiss,
greeting me upon my return to
conciousness before firstlight of the
sun came streaming in the window -

it begged me not to tell what I saw,
tried to convince me it was only ...
... dream.  Alone now, know better. Know what
I saw.  Must write - must save poetry --

Sweet as the warm glow of that very same moon as it shines through a bedroom window to kiss the face of the sleeping poet with inspiration.

I love the title which hints at any number of stories, thoughts, feelings, happenings---and your lovely poem that begs to be written with the first light of day.

Karla, I was driving home the other night and thought of one of the best poems I have done. "no need to make a note to myself, surely I will remember this one, it's so good."....WRONG!!!
By the time I got home, I had forgotten I even had a poem. Don't ya just hate when that happens?

Karla, I'm going to open my shades and see if the moon will tuck me in and give me a big kiss! I liked this a lot...gave me something to dwell upon.

When moonbeams come to kiss
the eyelids of time,
we sail into dream.

Love this one, Karla! See how you inspired me?

Love & Light always and in all ways,
