despite doors and windows barring

entrance.  It howls.  It screams, pushing
shoulders against the walls of my

suddenly flimsy apartment,

Karla,
I love the line "...pushing shoulders against the walls of my suddenly flimsy apartment". You personify the wind, making it sound like a football player in charge mode! Excellent!

Aren't you ducking yet??????? storms don't like prostrated people, but just adore those curious enough (or dumb) to take their noses out to see how hard it can be...
Please, be safe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A little B&E, anyone? I love the pace and framing of each line. Brilliant description pulls the reader into your intensely real scene. Great job, Karla!

The walls were cracking?? GAD!! CHILLS!! I hope this wind settles down soon; no wonder you don't like windy days!! Having been in five tornadoes, I don't blame you for fearing the winds!! Excellently expressed terror in verse and image; brava!
