Poem Artwork

The deceased are better friends than most
of the living.  They don't talk back, don't
start wars or arguments (being inclined
to remain impartial).  The dead never
gossip or tell lies - of course, they'll
not tell the truth, either ... at least
you'll know you weren't lied to.
They will never say you look
beautiful when you don't or
call you names because
you aren't "normal" or
say something about
your weight.  The
only lying done
is flat on the
back ...

The soul of the deceased foesn't linger around in a body that failed me...however they're always a second away. That breeze in your hair, sudden chill or fsmilisr aroma is there because the familiar of a passing love always lingers.
Blessings and love,
Susan

Ha! I love this, Karla! A delightfully amazing piece. Says a lot about the dead...and the oft misguided living ones, too :o)

This is one of your very best, it brings the reader to the brink of facing reality of living and dying and the real world that death offers. The dead never age and neither will this deep thought write.
Well done.

Crystal clear Karla so lets face the living and clear the air so we don't have to wait till they are dead to call them friends. Great write, thanks for sharing.
