"On the ragged edge of history." Something about this line sent a chill down my back just now. "On the ragged edge of history." hmmmmmmmmmm. Now; does the ragged edge get repaired and mended or would those that be rather see it burned? A lot to think about here.

You said it all. We in the Philippines did all we can in our last election, but our choice did not win. Still we worked for the betterment of ourselves and the upliftment of our standard of living, not depending or demanding from the government but doing our part because it was a personal responsibility.
Whoever wins we will have a hard road ahead! We'd best be prepared to tighten our belts, this economy will take a few years to fix.

My ATTEMPTED CHANGE was quite simple - AGAINST THE TWO-PARTY SYSTEM - some will say that I threw my vote away - wasted it - but I don't believe that for an instant.
I voted for the GREEN party - Cynthia McKinney - WHY? She had no chance!
Because of the PRINCIPLE involved - I voted AGAINST every incumbent I could -
In fact, for Congress, the only choice was "DUTCH" Rupertsberger - so, I did a WRITE-IN - myself - Thomas K. Hyland, Jr. - and, guess what - my NAME appearing on the Ballot Screen was quite pleasing! I can now honestly say that ONCE I RAN FOR CONGRESS!
Maybe some day the rest of Americans, the littlle people, will wake up and realize that the ONLY CHANCE to eliminate the 50 year record of choosing "the lesser of two evils" is by electing a THIRD PARTY into power, in an attempt to CHANGE THE SYSTEM --
ALL ELSE IS SHEER FOLLY -
the RICH, the OIL INTERESTS, the CORPORATIONS, the EMBEDDED CROOKED LONG SELF-SERVING POLITICIANS will just repeat History, over and over and over - AD INFINITUM ...
Karla, darlin' you should live in Oregon, where we vote in the privacy of our own homes, it ain't perfect, but it works. I agree with what Ted said, but remember this..."What it is, is what it is" so we better all take two aspirnins tonight and call the doc. in the morning...sorry...too much caffiene.
Was there bright and early standing proudly and happily in the two-deep line. Saw a lot of old friends, made some new ones, and generally enjoyed the lovely weather. May the best man win!

Yes, at least, we will know that we voted. And, which ever way it goes, we will wait for "change" ...
But all we saw and heard for the final weeks was nastiness and lies and misconstrued statements, and robo-calls which were just plain ugly, and I received several political SPAM emails which were no better. From both parties, and from third-party interest groups. And I wonder if this is the kind of crazy attitude that we are electing into the Oval Office? Ah, well ...
Ha! Yes, I wonder if Florida ever got its chads unhung LOL
