poverty rises
and income falls
don't understand
no, not at all...
hurray! i got the job!
and that's all well and good...
it's not going to help,
if i can't afford rent and food...
or what if i get sick?
and need medical care?
if i've no insurance,
i haven't got a single prayer.
where will i lay my head?
i'm living on the streets...
made to feel like nothin',
i'm human...i'm not obsolete!
i can't afford the bills,
necessities of life,
this is ridiculous...
the problems of the poor cause strife.
poverty rises
income falls
don't understand...
no, not at all.
poverty rises (for the majority of us)
income falls (except for congress)
don't understand (and i never will)
no, not at all (let's send them our bills!!)

Hi Karla,
you are completely right! Used to be things filtered down to the workers a little,
now they say your lucky to have this job like they are doing you some sort of favor!
I have always hated that and took care of my workers anyway I could and found that more rewarding than anything. When I sold my business, I offered it to my mechanics and it is now owned by them. You speak the truth!
