REFRAIN i'm ready for my fifteen minutes of fame and i'm ready to hear applause and acclaim i've struggled for so long, think my moment's now... i'm ready for my fifteen minutes, and how! VERSE ONE i'm tired of strugglin', of barely gettin' by tired of the bills that keep on pilin' up high i'm tired of havin' to work ev'ry day i'm tired of workin' hard for little pay VERSE TWO why should i be nice--all i do is get screwed i'm so tired of bein' used and abused i'm tired of always cryin' late at night wonder when my life will finally go right REFRAIN i'm ready for my fifteen minutes of fame and i'm ready to hear applause and acclaim i've struggled for so long, think my moment's now... i'm ready for my fifteen minutes--and how! VERSE THREE tired of feelin' i'll never get ahead tired of thinkin' i'd be better off dead tired of prayin'--he's not list'nin' to me what must i do to alter my destiny BRIDGE what can i do to change my ways what must i do in order to change but until then... REFRAIN i'm ready for my fifteen minutes of fame and i'm ready to hear applause and acclaim i've struggled for so long, think my moment's now... i'm ready for my fifteen minutes--and how! -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
