i knew officer eakins, too, and he will be missed. such a shame; but he is with jesus now; and that is all that matters. he was a christian, so you know where he is! all the reason to be happy for him, although he left too soon! beautiful and moving tribute to sgt. steve eakins! his family and co-workers at the burleson police department would be touched by this moving tribute to him! love, your twin, karen lynn. Karla, how wonderful is the poem. It indeed touches the sky and Heaven. As I read it I choked up and the tears flowed. What a wondeful way to feel about someone.

This seems a fitting poem to repost - how tragic when someone who is caring and special is suddenly gone...it leaves a hole -
I'm sure his family and other friends will appreciate this tribute to him...in memory, he lives.
