You quite confuse
Those not so near
They know not
Whether to put you
Or perhaps, simpler,
To boot you!
Apostrophe, just let me guess--
Are you before
Or after the "s"?
The apostrophe was quite a problem, I thought. That is, until the comma came along. Then, I was truly lost. Nice one, Randall. I like poems about the language itself.
Possessive and contractional little devils, aren't they?...ooops, I just typed one! Now that's a miracle, Randy, as my little finger, more often than not, fails to cooperate, not quite reaching the
s-t-r-e-t-c-h to apostrophe and settles for neighbor semi-colon...bad habit (and if you'll note, I made certain to observantly make the stretch here!). The English teacher in you is enjoying playing with words!
