~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You dream of many things:
The atmosphere in your voice for instance;
Pleasant, smooth, expressing colors
Permeating an inner calm
Experienced at dawn
The way the sun rises in increments
Blending into the yawn of your awakening
The moment your eyes stretch
Inviting the moods of another day
You dream of crowds and gardens:
The way leaves swirl in the wind
Apart from the whole
Yet part of the flux
The way eyes peer into the distance
Searching continuity
Remaining alone
The way your dreams search for heaven
Transforming each morning
Watching for life to surface
The increase in the value of dreams allows us to grow with the visions. It's a good way to maintain the cosmos and endure inner calm. Dreaming Increments tells us we are undergoing fundamental change on the ultimate concern of godly levels. Dreams are feedback to tell us how well we are functioning. This poem permeates an inner calm in me, Jude.
Gotta love Alexandra's comment - totally spot-on. This could almost be a self-reflexive write, an introspective; certainly is has that quality of The Prophet or Watchman... him who is concerned with all elements and mechanics of life bodily - living life to the full on the material plane - and yet who is inwardly set apart in spirit, searching out the rhymes and reasons of it all, actively seeking "the fulfillment of all things" and purposing to be a part of bringing it about. A flowing, gracious write which oozes molten from the liquidity of your own soul. WTG, Jude. Sea change will happen when other eyes see what you see. NarKoleptiK Kate xx
"The way the sun rises in increments
Blending into the yawn of your awakening" <- Gorgeous lines!
When our dreams search for heaven, we do, indeed, transform each morning, not only for ourselves but for others as well.
Love & Light,
Joseph
And this dream is pure inner harmony. Isn't it wonderful when this harmony sort of blends with alertness and we feel like we are "apart from the whole yet part of the flux"? Maybe this is the only (incremented) plane in which we are actually "in wholeness" - swirling in the air as naturally as leaves do.
the total is greater than the sum of its parts as eloquently captured in your poem; also beauty is in the eye of the beholder and your eyes clearly signal a deeper part of us; great write.
Your words mirror my thoughts as each morning I sit outside, sipping a warm cup of coffee and watching the sunrise over the mountain. The day awakens in layers and by the time the sun is high in the sky the world has gone from a cool, peaceful calm, where my space is quite expanded, to the place where all are mixed into the hustle-bustle of the day and my personal space ends at the tips of my toes and the width of my shoulders. For that brief time, when all is quiet and the sweet fragrance of lavender graces my world, I feel at one with all that surrounds me and with the Creator of it all. Beautiful and tranquil poem, Jude. Wonderful write. Happy Easter.
Take care,
Sherry
You have a transcendental nature, Jude, one that sees the obvious with intelligent eyes and the ability to proffer it to us plebeians to read and to ponder. That is good.
