My big little grandson going through rehab.

Poem Artwork

                                                                JOEY

                     Tracks lead through the night,

the light of the moon reflects their flight,

 endless, out of sight.

Very still, look and listen,

quiet in the far they glisten,

a light nearing, a rumbling thunder

now tearing through the night,

dancing eyes, here, there, everywhere

flee like ghosts to nowhere.

Ghosts?

maybe my own,

I see they have grown.

Gingerly, I edge forward,

toward the end,

but now a curve,

a bend

I have travelled far,

so now where, Am I?

Am I there?

But it continues,

there is no end

so travel on

and find your bliss

Sometimes as you travel through the night

full of fear and full of fright,

pick a star, that’s pure and bright,

and keep it in your sight, then as you wander

along life’s track, you’ll know where forward is

and back!

Usually it’s hidden so deep within your soul

So deep, sometimes, you really have to search for it; most times

You see it best when you are in the darkest space, remember Joey, darkness is not for despair, it’s for reflection and searching and searching your soul. The wisdom Joey is to pick the right star.

You have captured a light flow in this write, Jasmin, even though it deals with such a heavy and heart-rending topic. May the Light of Love shine on Joeys soul. Blessings ...

You touched me to the quick of my soul. Rehab is a tough fight, one that will make you or break you, bind you or bend you out of portion. I will pray for you Joey tonight...great poem!

Epiphany by Gary Stephens

“We’re going to use nine megaton warheads in space and we’re not sure they’re large enough to be effective. Why would you even consider using kiloton-range surface-to-air warheads as back-up?” The answer was succinct. “Because they’re all we have.”
