This is deep, my friend, and very evocative.
Sometimes, I revel in my darker self and know again the joys of blood and pain and strife, as do we all if we have the courage to face ourselves. But I also love my wife and the animals that grace my existence with their unconditional trust and love - never to be betrayed.

But I say this Jasmin: without a passion for the darkness we can never revel in the light, nor ever comprehend the duality of all the processes of life and love. The warrior may rightly and joyfully exult in death dealt at his hands and yet love his children and remain a child of God.

We are the light and the darkness and are unwise to condemn ourselves for our duality. For without duality we have no choice, and it is in our choices we can be beloved by God.
