This not a fiction it's about addiction!
Moving on! Today after my rant In the wee morning hours With laughter I recant Barely sunrise Already reach for pen and paper What a surprise Normally first thing you see Would go to the loo For a wee This of late has changed It�s getting out of control Must be rearranged It�s an addiction The feeling Of verbalizing my conviction I am on a high Never mind the pills I let out a sigh It seems to me Something was brewing All night long you see It has become Another urgent function As if it were fun Intervention is needed Something in the brain Needs to be deleted Some program It�s not the computer Berserk has gone Where on this body Is alt, control, delete? Before I go dotty Tired to boot Not sunlight but the Morningstar streaming through the blinds What a hoot! Reset default This program does not function Wasn�t properly installed So I give in Turn over a new leaf Paper thin You asked what this is about Its pressure my friend It has to come out! 26/10/2007

Yes, there are those times when it becomes completely uncontrollable and the story must be told....

The poetry is going to come out, just stand back and let it. It will keep you sane or insane, whichever stage you're at when you start. It will wake you out of a dead sleep, keep you from going to sleep. It is an obsession.

Maybe the first step we should make in our "recovery,"

Interesting poem. I think writing is a wonderful way not only to express our inner feelings but also to help us relax. If you wake up in the middle of the night wanting to write, that means you have one more experience, thought or idea to exorcise. Addiction? Yes, it is and I think it's a wonderful addiction. Well done.
