A small bundle, of loving hearts,
For knitting another year,
A pattern of five parts,
When repeating then comes near,
Everybody takes a turn at bat,
So none gets stressed too much,
It’s always new, and not old hat,
How we, together keep in touch,
Let’s see, we have a Christmas tree,
Seven grand, and two great ones too,
One still on the knee,
Still pink he is and almost new,
Three great daughters, two husbands keen,
One is being groomed to be,
Two great sons, with wives so mean, (just kidding)
One pattern to be filled left free,
Friends too there, we had three,
Carol one, Pearl two,
The future Karl, and his daughter sweet Kaleen,
We had a Hildegard, but not a Sue,
I was reminded often, not to forget,
All the gifts, the kids could see,
The little ones thought best instead,
The ones, beneath the Christmas tree,
How one knits happiness, I ask,
With happy smiling faces, I would say,
A great knitting that will last,
For another Christmas day,
Colours for screams and laughter,
Riots patterns gone insane,
A note or two thereafter,
And here and there a name,
Oh yes, the treats and sweets,
The kisses hugs and tears,
How’s that for a knitting feats,
A glass of wine, a can of beer,
Let’s see, what’s on the sleeves,
The hugs and arms around,
For all the Christmas Eve’s,
Much knitting there abound,
Knit one, pearl two,
That is our art of fibres long,
That’s what best the Seiler’s do,
