Gathered here at the diner again,
For the biggest cruise of the year;
The sleekest, sharpest, fastest cars,
All of them built with pride right here.

The legendary Road Runner,
No frills; just sheer "get up and go;"
A sixty-three split window coupe,
You'll find nothing here from Tokyo.

A sixty-six Chevy Super Sport,
The pride of all who raced stock cars;
NASCAR stood for American made,
When America reached for the stars.

The wild AMC Javelin,
It too, had its place on the street;
Now nearly forty years later,
Its style is still quite hard to beat.

The humble sixty-four Mustang,
The father of the pony cars;
Built when America was proud,
Before we lost our claim to the stars.

Our economy's in the pits,
But that is no surprise to me;
For as our auto industry goes,
Soon to follow will be our country.

I hope you love your rice burners,
They're the root of the problem here;
Patriotism is no more,
You traitors are our biggest fear.

If you care for the U.S.A,
Make an effort to buy from here;
Our future depends on what you do,
Real Americans still buy John Deere.
