THE LADY IN LACE - A tale from California

A slight variation of Chapter 5 from my book, MYSTERIOUS TRAILS OF AMERICAN FOLKLORE. I hope you enjoy this one and may God bless.

A friend in California
Told me of an eerie story
A tale about a peaceful ghost
Who gives no reason to worry

The ghost that walks on foggy trails
She is called the Lady in Lace
Along the Seventeen Mile Drive
She's in no rush; sets her own pace

T'was said that she once owned the land
That makes up her path along the coast
Others say she's a jilted bride
Who disappears when one gets close

One night at Pescadero Point
A couple was parked by the sea
When the Lady in Lace appeared
In the moonlight clear as could be

She then wandered down to the beach
As they looked on in awe and fear
Her body glowing like a star
Then simply vanished into thin air

Whatever the real story is
She makes an interesting tale
A beautiful form dressed in lace
Might thrill you when others may fail

A GREAT story Paul!

This poem captured my imagination and brought me to a dreamland that I seldom experience now, more like when I was a kid.

We don't know what the true spiritual world looks like but it seems we make connections every now and then.

GOD bless you my friend!
