Plop, Plop, Burrrrrup!

Poem Artwork

One bathroom for four
 

Frosted glass enclosure for the tub
 

An illusion of privacy for a busy mom
 

 
 

Hot bubble bath, delightful romance novel
 

Daughter and son are outside or so she thinks
 

Computer has dad very involved!
 

 
 

Mom leans back in the tub, eyes on her book
 

“You in there Mom?” comes the call from her daughter
 

“Yes, I’m in here! But the doors are shut!”
 

 
 

Whispering in the hall, childish voices indistinct
 

The sound of the bathroom door opening
 

Water begins to run in the bathroom sink

 
 

Plop!! AIAIAIAIAIAIAIAIAIAI screams mom!!!
 

What was that?? Out of the water and
 

Onto her knee, hops a disoriented frog!!!

What hoot from Elvin the Elf Owl. He is splitting his guts and his side are not too solid either. I could see this comming as soon as the frog picture materialized. You really know how to make us laugh. Great work my lady, great work.

A lovely story, a beautiful frog, and one never knows who just might pop up in one's bathroom, especially Moms and sometimes, wives!

Very accurate poetic reporting of what must have been a traumatic experienc for "you" (I didn't think you had the Dad & kids but what do I know?) Hey, I had this fellows cousin in my garage yesterday during the Florida rainstorm, he wanted into my house from there! I sent him flying!

Just don't let him escape and let him get under the fridge!
I wrote, "What the Hec is it?", regarding that incident!
We always had a pet frog in our home...my son, Jeremiah collects them! LOL!
