In the manual, it states, “When a dog crosses the road,

Slow down, hold on tight, and hit the animal”

Student driving, instructor at his side

Another truck with students and instructor just behind

First truck goes up on the sidewalk and then back down

What happened asked the instructor in the second truck?

A dog had crossed the road in front of the first truck

The student had slowed down, held on tight, and went up on the sidewalk to kill the dog

But he crossed the road before the truck got there!

But the manual said, “Slow down, hold on tight, and hit the animal.”

A female student (not yours truly), taking the pre-trip part of the CDL

“I’m checking the foreplay in the steering wheel.”

“Say that again,” asks the examiner

“I’m checking the foreplay in the steering wheel. It shouldn’t be more than two inches.”
