.
Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house not a mouse was stirring not even an Ed
Mamma in her kerchief with her face beat red as her children were not nestled in their beds
Visions of fear bounced in her head as she awoke Papa to tell him the matter
He sprang from his bed like a flash to the phone and immediately dialed 911
When out of the window he could not believe his worried eyes
But knew in a moment they were his three Eddies
Mamma and Papa ran out to the lawn and there was Santa bigger than life
In his sleigh their children lay fast asleep like angels floating upon a cloud
His eyes twinkled as he spoke "Mamma you should be so proud "
They came to the north pole to make amends wrapping toys for all the kids
Pee Wee helped Mrs bake cookies for you as Edvard tidied the kitchen all the while Jersey tended to my plants trimming each one
Santa and Papa carried each dumpling and gently laid him on their bed
Each one dressed in pajamas with feet that Mrs Claus did sew
Santa laying his finger aside his nose said "They are are my best little elves with great big hearts "
With that he sprang to his sleigh and flew away the down of a thistle shouting Merry Christmas to all and to all a good-night!
Mamma and Papa embraced and gave thanks to God for their children all snug in their beds

Hillarious! The three should stayed as children [or at least in their hearts]. Then, there would not be so many stories going around about them. It's nice to know that at least once in their life they did the honorable thing. But, then, it WAS Christmas ...

God bless you. Kathy

Awww....looks like the more Eds the more Ho, ho, hos!!! This has all the sugar and spice of a genuine Christmas piece, Christine. Snuggly, too. Are The Eds for hire?! It's nice to know they can work as a team... and they DO look so cute in this stripey tights! :)) Delightful yarn, thank you. Kate xx

Ho, Ho, Ho, Indeed! I still bake cookies, but I think that was the one and only time my two brothers ever did a lick of work! (Santa must have threatened them with something very bad - and good old Mamma and Papa never knew!)

PS I still have Mrs. Claus's secret Christmas Cookie recipe, and they are Delish!
