The Warning

Some men
should come with a warning
stamped on their butt.
It’s only fair
for women like me
to see.

“DANGER!
This man may be
hazardous to your health!

He’s the Titanic’s iceberg,
hemlock in your tea,
and your own worst nightmare!

IN CASE OF ACCIDENTAL OVERDOSE...

So sorry. If you're reading this warning,
it’s probably already too late …"

On second thought,
all of that wouldn’t fit on a butt…

Maybe a ‘T’ on the forehead.
Yes, a ‘T’ as in T r o u b l e
for women like me
to see.
After all it’s only fair,
to match the scarlet ‘A’
they would have us wear.

Aha, CJ, a good seriocomic poem about false fronts and snakes in the grass. I must disagree with putting it on the forehead rather than the butt. As we know CJ, hindsight is always twenty, twenty.

Hmnnn I hope you don't cast us all in the same light C. no more then we cast all women as pains in the ... somtimes. Nice write regardless with just a touch of humour thrown in to cover the irony.

Having foresight, or discernment, in this bloody world, is mandatory. Not all men are like this. Some respect and nurture women. Good luck finding them!

I know the type though, and I also know some mischievious women that would qualify for the gold star that this write gets!

Good job!
