By the picture looks like the "Trees" were singing a lot more than a "Lullaby..." That's my old front yard in Daytona Beach on August 14th, the day after Hurricane Charley. The eye-wall went right over my section of town as a Category One but pretty intense and fast. Many trees knocked over in just a few hours and it was at night. Always seems scarier at night...
You might want to open a new tab by right clicking on the link to the music in my website. It's the same one on Yahoo, but by the end of the week I will be closing it. The fact is it is $12 a month hosting fee and my domain name: "The Last Renaissance Man.net" is up for renewal, that's $35-I won't renew. Most of all Yahoo is terrible if you are a musician posting lots of media. I will need a web host to post my music, but until I find one, I guess it is time to "MySpace" for the music. I dread it... The truth is of all the "Michael Guy's" on MySpace, (there are at least three and they all happen to be musicians)- They are also younger and better known than me.
Therefore: there is a name change in my near future, I already have researched it on Google and hopefully no other musicians named that.
So this is the last post of music to this site, I will see you at MySpace or my new website (I don't know when)
I hope at least some of you took advantage of the free music...
See you later...(under my new alias)

The Lullaby of the Singing Trees: synthesizer music by Michael Guy

The Wind

From far off places across open spaces,

            You’ve come to play for me;

A minstrel without a home, as you roam,

            You sing your hymns for free.

In the tops of trees, all through the leaves

            Your symphony strings sigh and roar.

On silent wings your fidelity brings

            The Albatross home to rest,

Before gathering each wave, you’ll rant and rave,

            Disguising yourself as tempest.

On treacherous nights you take harrowing flights

            Up the coast to the North and East;

With icy tongue, a howl’s begun

            To bring out the fire in this beast.

But tomorrow will dawn like a nuzzling fawn,

            With a kiss as gentle as summer.

And all around you’re no where to be found;

            I hear you’re a lonely runner.

BEAUTIFUL! You've captured many phases of the wind in your poem song. Good luck in future sites. A good after picture of Chaleys wrath! ......M

Oh Michael!!!!!Please keep me posted on your new alias and myspace site. This is one of your most beautiful and breezy composition. I absolutely love it and I think you're a brilliant musician, don't ever comepare your weakness to others strengths...you rock!

Michael - Loved the flow and rhythm of this poem, perfect in every line. It sings even without the music. Liked the personification of the wind as,
"A minstrel without a home, as you roam,
You sing your hymns for free."

All quotable lines. - David

The music slowly builds--swells--and dimenuendo's out of being. It is a very good representative of the wind.

God speed, Michael! Sorry to see you go. I've very much enjoyed your music. Good luck on your projects. Sincerely, Charlie

Michael,

I concur with those, below - absolutely beautiful - the wind captivates, as it does in this lyrical melody - well done. I, for one, will miss you - please keep in touch, you're always welcome here. Well done - and that pic is amazing. No gentle Zephyr, that - WOW

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.

Michael,

This is positively beautiful. Be sure and keep us informed of your new alias. My son's handle is JasonX, and there are ove 50 of them on there! He's a musician too. He is the last JasonX, so not too hard to find. Having a coming name can be a pain in the ...

The music was a very interesting experience and went well with the excellent poem, Guy! Sorry to hear you'll only be posting your music on MySpace. But I do understand, it seems prices are going up on many sites and if it happens here I'll be downgrading,for I think
"enuff is enuff!" methinks they want to much,after all it is our work! Take care, and all the best with your new name!...ET

Words that go well together, very nice Michael. I tried to listen to the music but something was not coming through right, I dont know if it is my computer. Try myspace, tell me and I will add you to my myspace site. Why doubt yourself in thinking others are better then you? Just do it.

You're uprooting too, Michael...replanting your music at different venues which is the way of branching out for new growth and being discovered. Like The Wind, this poem is free to come and go. "A minstrel without a home" indeed describes the gentle whistle and a more intense hurricane sound of the wind. You chose your words well here. I remind you again that SoundClick and Amie Street is free to post music and you will have many fans at these sites should you check into it and set up a page...my best to you, Michael...see you on CTI.

Warmly,
Sage
