I penned these words to go with a sermon series my pastor was preaching. The song leader adjusted it slightly in order to put it to music. I was in tears as I heard in sung during worship.
Your life is not your own
It’s given you on loan
You need to make a choice how you will live
It’s God who holds the deed
And promises to lead
A life that takes on meaning as you give.
A life on loan God has given to me
A brighter future I begin to see
Because of God’s love which has set me free
To become the story God meant for me
Our story we all live
Always learning to give
connecting it with others on the way
seeking truth from God’s Word
with others we are cured
and grow in our commitment every day

Larry, I knew just from the title that this would touch my heart. I know His spirit led you to write these words. He truly wants us "to become the story God meant for me"
