This is so true. I sometimes remember the good old days when all we had were beepers. I got one because I was on call for the hospital. It did free me up so as not to be stuck by a phone all day and night. But now I even see people who don't have a car walking down the side of the street talking on a cell phone. You would think they could call sombody for a ride.

How true this is, Larry. That's why I love the conversation with folks of an older generation-- having also been brought up that way, I always say I would talk to a tree if it would listen, lol-but seriously, there is so much to be learned about life and living it, caught in conversations with strangers-especially for us writers. Awwww, it is sad when people lose the art of conversation and opt for the games on the telephone. I do play some games on the computer, but never tried the telephone. I hardly use it anyway. Cute write and it does show the changing ways of society..
