picture: Gordon and I built this Christmas village scene behind me at the local village Senior Community Room...they love it, and we had a blast creating it...

Poem Artwork

i could vacillate upon
the disappointment of excuses
or the stresses of expectations
however certainly it is
to be anticipated
as we transition from the
old world views into the new

the human body holds its tension
in various degrees, most fail to notice
those subtle aches and pains
embedded into the cellular structure
pockets of energy tucked away
serving us irritation
yet in the stillness this may be vanquished
with pure awareness these pains are only
seeking validation and love

the inner spirit is completely alive
and perfect, it knows everything
and is always connected to its source
it is the human instrument in its being,
doing, worrying, and wanting
orchestrated by the untamed mind
that instigates so much suffering

this is a joyful time, aligned with the
Christ consciousness, not religious drama
but pure heavenly light, peace on earth exists
in your heart, joy to the world is a state of mind,
goodwill toward men, is the gratitude and
brotherly love gifted to everyone you encounter

to find contentment and happiness
is personal choice
many choose bad moods, irritation,
disappointment, falling into the victim role
and forget the most
beautiful experience of all...

only you...

choose how you feel

and how you feel, creates the next experience
the world is in constant motion, not then and not when
but right now
whatever bad will pass, whatever good will end
the only moment that ever matters
is right now

Merry Christmas Hugs

Wow, you sound like my guru so much, but with you it's authentic! You're not mouthing anyone else! If I'd known this was your Christmas poem I would've come sooner (good day for it!)
And you and your hubby really built that village? Such energetic loving work to share with others! Beats music!
Peace & Goodwill to your & yours NOW and always, Michael

Great idea, I wore my Santa costume down to visit the Alzheimers ward last week and the ladies and gentlemen there loved to see and shake Santa's hand

This gets a standing-O from me, Debby. Your wisdom is the stuff the world watches and waits in expectation of... and yet where is it to be found? Alive in the inner spirit that breathes its truth and light into heart and mind to produce this inner calm and equilibrium. Time IS always NOW! Bravo! And a truly Happy, Peaceful Christmas to you and yours. xx :))

So much wisdom contained in this poem Debby. I especially like the lines below which are so very, very true:

"to find contentment and happiness
is personal choice
many choose bad moods, irritation,
disappointment, falling into the victim role
and forget the most
beautiful experience of all...

only you...

choose how you feel"

Merry Christmas to you and to yours,
Marcia
