all that beauty of intricate form
yet simple in its delicate grace
humbled to magnificence
petal soft and sticky stem
mandala spiral on butterfly wings
floats upon the blue green leaves
lavender scent fills the air
as every thought becomes a salve
warm elixir to my heart

transfixed into imagined world
I catch sight of him
he rolls through me
like ocean waves
seasalt taste and power crush
laping at my inner thigh
foaming on my sand dune flesh
rolling surf of thrusting tide
constant stroke of ebb and flow
swelling with his moon high tide
my thousand grains of sand
yield and bend to
rippling currents
through his inner sea

oh, to yield to currents movement
oh, to silt around him
drifting in his waterway
he glides like silky mist
enduring rough of stormy gusts
floating list on calming shore

returning to the landscape fair
I sense the scent of lavender
kiss the wings of butterfly
and trace the mandala on the sand
