A man no one could ever dislike
His silly antics and love of life
could make the saddest man smile
Not once did he put any human
being down. There were no harsh words
that ever came from the lips of this
delightful clown.
We all worked together, and it would
soon be time for him to retire. He had planned
this many years ago, and often remarked,
“C’mon 2009!”
But he had a more serious side. Part of
the reason he resonated so much joy was
because he walked so closely with the Lord.
The Lord had blessed him with a beautiful
voice which he used to tell of God's love.
People would listen to this Irish tenor.
An angelic voice from above.
The year 2009 he would not retire; this
would never be. For very suddenly,
on that fateful day; the Lord said,
"My child, come with me"
Life is a fragile thing. No one knows when
it’s their turn to go. And why God took
him at the very time is something we’ll never know.
We’ll miss you dearly, our brother, our
friend, especially your winning smile.
But we know you’ll be okay, when with
the Lord... you walk that last mile.
