I felt your presence –
you gently disturbed
the air around my
face when you passed
over with your scent
of baby powder and
a hint of sandalwood
Your voice was so gentle
when you spoke to me
I answered and smiled but
I didn’t open my eyes.
You told me it was time
that I rested.
Your scent…your scent
is so sedating and I knew
you were about to leave
because I felt my cheek
depress to the sofest touch
I felt myself separating as
I succumbed to your spell.
My spirit smiled and rose
on a journey upward through
your gift of tiny bubbles
filled with your soft scent
and white lights
It is there where I took your
place and caught the little
lights and threw them in the
air over and over again
I watched them burst and
Scatter all over my sleeping
form
Each one whispered to me
and told me not to worry
and that you would always
be there when I needed you
This actually happened last night. Today when I went
shopping, I passed the fragrance counter and walked
right through my angels scent.
I almost bought 4 ounces each of cleanser, moisturizer,
Toner, foundation and a lipstick of my choice as a “bonus”
For $89.00
Thanks to Betty, I was able to walk away
