Day and Night

Day sinks down into the glimmering sea.
She discards her garments of shimmering blue,
sunlight and clouds…and yawns tiredly.

She is gorgeous, with her radiant sunlit hair.
Her eyes are light and her skin’s a golden hue.
She has such a heated, sultry air.

Night rises and stretches eagerly out with her arms.
Her gown is sprinkled with comets and one glorious
moon.
She fills the sky with her splendiferous charms.

Night is beautiful with a mysterious air.
Her twinkling eyes are dark sapphire blue.
She wears a crown of stars in her midnight hair.

I love mystery and silver is my favorite hue.
A night owl is what and who I am. So, I confess:
Night is my favorite of the two.
