The Three Bears

A new twist to an old story..... ;)

Poem Artwork

One night the three 'Bears' went on a hunting expedition
leaving their large estate unprotected.
Unfortunately, this sent a message, in repetition,
to all burglars that could work undetected.

Goldilocks was a first class thief.
This must be made very clear.
She wasn't the sort to come to grief
or be seen by anyone...far or near.

She slipped into the house
no problems doing so did she.
She was as quiet as a mouse
for her, there was no need for a key.

The mansion was sumptious, grand and fine.
At first, she wandered around the place.
She tested the beds and then wanted to dine...
on something that put a smile on her face.

But, her attention was caught by the biggest bedroom.
In this chamber was a bar and the biggest softest bed.
She made herself a drink full of vavoom
and laid upon the bed and said...

"I think I'll rest for a minute or two."
"Those 'Bears' will be gone all night."
She didn't figure on it starting to rain
or the Bears getting into a nasty fight.

They came home early after a night of running errands.
Grumpy, tired, hungry and were they mad!
One forgot the beer, the other the food, and one even forgot the guns!
This made a hunting trip futile and sad.

The first 'bear' saw his bed was messed up, got upset and began to yell.
The second was angry, furious and extremelly uptight.
The third thought what happened to his bed was swell..
and told the other two he was tired and bid them goodnight.

The moral to this story is:

All men are bears when they have a bad hunting trip.

OR

Even a bad hunting trip can be made alright by a good night in bed. ;)
